people and plants would grow taller... you could jump a lot further, not sure the effect on the tides or the fish and the ozone layer... satilites would all disapear or burn up, and magnetic fields around the earth would become less, would confuse migrating birds, days would last a lot longer.

Every physical object has gravity. It is an intrinsic property of matter. In this universe, we do not know how that could happen.

If the gravity of earth were changed by another physical force, the upset would be cataclysmic. The living species of today would die out. Perhaps some organisms would survive and prosper in the new paradigm.

Can you imagine Elephants and Rhinoceros' running lightly and free?.... leaping 30 feet at a time?

Small insects would experience the least effect that we can see.

There are probably unforeseen problems not thought of yet.

We would be able to jump higher, and everything on earth would move slower because there would be less force pulling you down, which would also cause less friction, so you would be able to slide along the floor further than you can now. That would be fun. Hmm, maybe the moon would go as well, because it wouldn't be held in orbit.. This would ruin the tides and everything.. Maybe we are lucky with the gravity we have at the moment.

It would get very crowded on Earth, the only way to reduce Earth's gravity is to reduce it's mass.

Air will disappear either partly or fully (moon has no air). Tidal waves may be absent. Trees will grow taller, as we do. We can jump higher.

Rockets can leave earth's gravity with lesser velocity. Moon will go off into the space since the gravity cannot hold her.

One of the fears is that our atmosphere would move out into space.

That is one of the biggest reasons they feel Mars can't hold human type life, because the gravity is too low to hold an atmosphere

depending on the gravity reduced...

if the gravitational pull of earth will be less than 9.81 (i.e. 3) we would see our self flying around...
