YES HE WAS!!!!!!! And why?, well let me tell you why.
Who was better than this man? O.K. who could beat this man one on one fairly without having to cheat, hhhmmm...still trying to think of someone, see there you have it, no-one!!! Maybe Bret Hart, maybe The Undertaker??? Well he was the first man to beat Hulk Hogan fairly, so that say's he was better than Hogan. He lost one match to Sergeant Slaughter because of outside interfearance (i.e. The Macho Man) and if you saw any of matches he totally kicked *** big time. He did fight with The Undertaker and to be honest, The Warrior was the better man. Nowaday's i'm not so sure, still would be a dream match for me to once again see these two men look horn's. I would of loved to of seen him fight Bret Hart, the only man I personally think would find a way to beat him, if there ever was a way. Also Goldberg would of given him a run for his money, maybe The Rock, Steve Austin and Shawn Micheals, but Warrior would win these fight's.

He was'nt the best technical wrestler and i'll be the first to admit that, but his winning abilty was most probably the best in wrestling history on stat's. O.K he should of stuck around alot longer, but while he was here, clearly untouchable!! Who else entertained the crowd like he did??? No-one. Maybe Hulk Hogan, maybe Shawn Micheals, maybe The Undertaker, maybe Steve Austin?? For me this man deserve's just as much credit as these people do and I would of liked to of seen these men try and beat him!!!!!

Among all the wrestlers in WWE, the Ultimate Warrior has been labelled the most energetic wrestler with high-energy wrestling style. He started wrestling at the then WWF from 1987-1999 and was known for his distinctive pattern of face painting.

Warrior enjoyed two stints as Intercontinental Champion, defeating The Honky Tonk Man (in 32 seconds at the first ever Summer Slam in 1988) and Rick Rude at Summer Slam 1989. The Warrior was heralded as the wrestler to carry the torch after the pending retirement of Hulk Hogan in 1990.

Warrior's last appearance in WCW was the Nitro after Halloween Havoc, when he chased nWo Hollywood out of the ring. He announced his retirement the following year.

Warrior officially retired from wrestling in 1999. He found a new career as a conservative speaker and commentator, denouncing left-wing politics. Most notably, he mentioned that "queering doesn't make the world work" during a speech at the University of Connecticut. Warrior has explained those comments on his website as meaning that the human race would die out if everyone were a homosexual.

Cheers :)

HMMMMM?

Remember this, except for brief moments when a pro wrestler loses his cool wrestling is theatre, not true athletic competition. His carreer was erratic. Visually impressive, a crowd favorite, he had long periods where he has out of the ring.

He really did not compete very often compared to many of wrestlings principle performers. Not well liked by the pros out of the ring HHH called him, "the most unprofessional guy I have ever worked with"

More than once "angles" that had been scripted out disintergrated when he was in the ring. Other wrestlers could not count on him following out the "show" that was planned. On several occassions matches were never completed or worse never actually really being a completed performance ending in disaster for the evenings show.

His ring performances were only a few dozen matches. Some big stars have wrestled hundreds of shows.

i think of you could not learn the suited Warrior to John Cena. Warrior have reached a element the place he replaced into bigger than Hogan in 1989-ninety. Cena isn't even near to that style of acceptance.

Look I was probably one of the biggest UW marks ever but the only reason he won was because he was over so big with the fans. Watch the DVD "The Self-destruction of the Ultimate Warrior" and learn how Andre the Giant for one worked him over for not listening. James Helwig believed his own hype and that was his downfall.

I'd have to disagree with you there.
Before his problems started perhaps, but as legacies go he's far outshone by at least Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Sean Michaels and Ric "Woo" Flair. There are others I am certain, but no, I'd have to disagree.

For entertaining the crowds there were few better, can't fault him for that. I'm more of a ricky "the dragon" steamboat man myself, and later ray mysterio jr, i just love those big "that'll never actually work" moves.

Nope. The Hitman would destroy him any day of the week. Not only that he was a much better wrestler that Warrior could ever be.
