How do I find out if a house is in an area that the government has designated as "disadvantaged" - for stamp duty purposes?

Generally speaking you can tell by the boarded up windows, packs of dogs roaming the streets and the extremely fat teenage girls pushing prams, with 42 really ugly kids round them.

Hope this helps.

Addendum for wtg_ib:
Hate to break it to you, but your parents didn't actually 'move' there. They were 'sent' there at her Majesty's convenience. I remember you telling me that you thought it strange how they never removed those tight fitting (and matching) iron bracelets they wore... I'm afraid those weren't really bracelets and the chain link in the middle wasn't just a hippy fashion statement. ;-)
