I grew up being called a certain name other than my given name. I changed it when I left home to my given name and now I go by my middle name. Every time I have moved I have done this. I don't know why I just love all of my names given and nicknames. Well, I do know why, I love change! Also why I keep moving.

I had a Gemini boyfriend growing up and he used to always give my friends nicknames, he never gave them to himself. The closest he came to that was his own name, which is William he would jump from Will to Bill to Billy etc...

Yes, I have a lot of nicknames.
Gemini tends to get bored easily so they like to make changes of everything.
I also give my friends nicknames. It's fun!

Not really. My close friends have nicknames for me, but I could never choose a name for myself. I would want it to be different every day. That would get confusing.

I have used several... not including my names on line.
One was a nick-name given to me... and it's stuck (Spike)

I am also a writer, and sometimes use my pen name, or a name of one of my charactors..
Why? It allows you to be something different than you are... better, or worse. The 2nd twin...
