how do i know if i have broken my hymen? i never had sex but i did have an incident with a bike and...?

i started bleeding down there but i wasn't getting my period...also i did ballet for a year if that matters.

You could have broken your hymen, happens all the time with sports and/or tampons, it's no big deal. You are still a virgin. But when you do decide you are ready to have sex, the hymen won't tear so you won't experience the discomfort most of us ladies had to go through. Consider yourself lucky :)

Then i can almost assure you it is broken. A lot of girls will lose thier hymen when they do gymnastics, or ride a bike to heavily. Usually there will be a small amount of blood that will stop fairly quickly. The hymen is not needed, and you will notice no difference if it is there or not.

It could be possible. Rigorous activity like gymnastics or horseback riding can also do that. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you keep bleeding.
