What are some beautiful harbour cities I can go to?

In Europe, I'd say Irish coastal areas (western and southern). I haven't been in Northern Ireand along the coast but have seen photos and it looks beautiful. The Welsh, Scottish and English coastlines also have some pretty areas.
Denmark and Norway also have picturesque harbors along the coast.
In US, Michigan (Upper Pennisula and Great Lakes), Maryland (Chesapeke Bay) southern Delaware and New England (esp. Maine, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and NH). Vermont also has a series of lighthouses on Burlington Lake. My guess is eastern Canada like PEI and Nova Scotia would also have some nice areas to see.

All the Scandinavian countries, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, not to forget Iceland, have beautiful harbours, lighthouses and lakes. Scandinavia is absolutely worth a visit. They are so near to each other that you can take a boat, train or fly, depending on where you are (well to and from Iceland flying is the best alternative). Look at the map to get a good picture of Scandinavia. Have a nice holiday whatever you choose!

They have Hecta Head Lighthouse, Yachts Lighthouse, Cape Foulweather.....and SeaLion caves (great view)....
Make sure to go when there is a storm.....Amazing!

Lake Michigan has many beautiful harbors..sleeping bear sand dunes are wonderful...try the Traverse City area or South Manitou Island which is my favorite
