The capital city of Zimbabwe, Harare, is a beautiful, light-filled, open city; high on the country's central plateaux. It is a city of modern buildings, wide thoroughfares, numerous parks and gardens. A city whose streets are lined with flowering trees and a wonderful and invigorating climate.

Harare is not a country, simply the capital of zimbabwe. I did visit Harare a few times and I spent weeks there so I know it well.

The best thing about Harare is that it is clean and green, but in terms of entertainment, beyond boring. Very few restaurants and hotels worth visiting.

The past few years witnessed bad times for the whole country as it the economy is falling apart. Things are now really bad.

Harare is not a country, it is the capital city of Zimbabwe. It used to be a thriving city, full of business and growth potential, bustling with tourists and a great night-life. It still has beautiful hotels and the city centre is well developed but it is not a safe place anymore. Most of the riots and fighting over fuel, demonstrations against the govt. etc. all happen in the midst of Harare. You really don't want to go there.

What's with the same questions about Zim all the time, man? By now you should have gotten the idea that the country is falling apart.
Harare is a city, not a country.
Are you going to report me again now, like before?

Harare is the capital city of Zimbabwe.
Bull's answer is spot-on. Zimbabwe used to be the breadbasket of Afica and now its people are starving to death whilst their dictator of a president condemns them to a life of poverty and violence.
Don't go there.
