my boyfriends mom was telling me that fake nails[french manicures] can cause fugus and stuff like that....
and she said that since i have fake nails, that i should look into it...

they arent good for your nails, bc they can cause damage to your natural nail. its not a big deal though, your nails can take it. once you have them taken off go to Sally Beauty Supply, they have tons of nail products to make your nails strong & moisturized. fake nails look so glamorous, its worth it. good luck ♥

Yes, they permanently damaged my nails.
I had arcrylic nails so that my nail polish would last longer, but then I occasionally got fungus on the sides from moisture getting trapped between my nail and the acrylic. My nails grow funky now.
I used to have naturally beatiful nails, but now I cant grow them long anymore without problems.

They don't cause fungus but I've got weak nails and I find that they wreck them a bit and make them even weaker. If you're nails are pretty tough though you'll be fine.

Yes they can be! They cause damage to your natural nail and can cause fungii.
Also if you work in the food industry, they are bad. Stuff collects under them which can't be shifted.

Nah, some of them are actually quite cute! But u obviously have to be careful of what brand u buy...you rather spend a little more and get the good stuff just to be on the safe side!

they apparently are..i havent got them but ive heard so many reason why i shouldnt get them done..
they make your real nails underneath go all soft and yellow when they are on your nails for months/ years... my mums friend has terrible nails now, she had false nails for 20 years by the time she took them off her nails were completly ruined
