Epilator definatley its cheaper than waxing for one and also theres an amazing numbing cream you can buy the chemist wich numbs wherever your epilating which is great or take a couple of neurofens before and a sock in your mouth lol it does get better just as waxing does :0) ,I'd say using waxing on you lady garden and an epilator evey wear else x

It's a personal thing.
I find I can't use epilators because no matter how much I exfoiate I end up with loads of ingrowing hairs. And it hurts, I mean it really, really hurts. They're also not a good idea if you have sensitive skin as they can irritate and you end up with a nasty rash.
Having said that, my best friend swears by hers.

Wax is OK but in my view if you're using it on anything but the tiniest of areas it's best to get it done professionally (if you have a beauty college local to you, you should be able to get it done on the cheap) - it is painful, but momentarily so, whereas epilating is a more drawn out thing. But doing it yourself sometimes it's difficult to work up the courage to whip the strips off! Also a beautician will have been trained in the right technique, so it will hurt less, the risk of skin irritation is lower, and there's less chance of missing bits that are difficult to reach.

So my vote is for a professional wax - but it is a personal choice (and in my view there's nothing wrong with a humble razor- less hassle!)

If you can stand the pain Epilation is better, because it is not as messy as wax and it takes just a few minutes. It works better for me to do a little Epilation daily rather than trying to do everything at once. It also helps to take aspirin 1 hour before you begin. It gets easier every time you do it.

Professional wax is great, but it's expensive, takes time and is messy.

I've just recently bought an epilatior and expected it to be really painful but to be honest it was just prickles.. I have a pretty high pain threshold but even so it was OK.

One of the things that I do recommend is getting an icepack and placing it on the area for 30sec prior to eplilation. I didn't need to do this on my legs but it really helped with my under arms.

Good luck whatever you try..
