First of all, you need to tell him how you feel (you want more time together, etc.). If you don't mind video games you could possibly play with him now and again.
Personally though, and I'm a guy that enjoys his games too, I still spend a lot of time with my girlfriend and would never ignore her over a game. I think that his "hobby" has moved from that to near addiction levels. If you both have different work schedules it can be resolved very easily. He has his hobby for during your work times, and when you get together, game goes off and you go out to eat, watch a movie, cuddle, etc.
Of course, that all requires that he is willing to put forth the effort to cut back on the gaming. Which brings me back to where it started. Just need to tell him how you feel.

Okay, it's no crime and I would almost bet, that he has no idea what effect this is having on you. Try telling him just as you did here. Tell him that you are not wanting to take his hobby away, but rather spend some time together in between. Perhaps you can also play a few rounds with him on some video games at times.

That's good to have a hobby but for him to ignore you??? I wouldn't be taking that sh*t. I would sit him down and talk to him about it before I got the damn thing and threw it out the window! Let him know you want to spend time with him, and you miss him. If he doesn't stop, throw the damn game out!

when you two are going to be able to have time alone take the video game and hide it when he goes to work so that the next day its time to spend it together....and actually have plans not just spending some time at home... make plans for lunch or dinner or somewhere....

Tell him that if he wants to continue getting booty, he had better start taking some time to spend with you. Tell him that you are beginning to feel neglected, and neglected people are very unhappy people, and unhappy people start looking for someone to make them happy--get the picture!!!

Take a stand, or slap him silly of his little grungy, immature mind.
