Treading Water!!!
This is the MOST important thing in water polo.
And also work on passing with one hand and catching the same way.
But mostly treading water.
And swimming never hurts to get into shape.
Good luck .

You should be able to tread for the duration of play and then some. The game is separated into four quarters of 5, 6, or 7 minutes, depending upon the level of competition, with a two minute interval between quarters. Substitutions are permitted only after a goal is scored, between periods or for an ejected player. That being said, work on treading for extended periods of time, upper body strength and aim for throwing and catching and work on mastering your skills in the water, such as how to adjust your kick for a throw and how to aim, etc.

Hi,

Go to the community pool or a place like cantigue park or eisenhower park. They have pools. They give lessons for a certain thing like water polo and it will just cost a little money.

swimm without taking a breath for a 50m then try and stay above the water and not swim as long as possible with a ball in your hand and try and make a goal in a goal post.
