Well, the tampons are definitely the only way, but in any case it is risky. Your immune system is weak during the period and a chance to get an infection in a pool water is higher even with tampon. There are many ways to enjoy the party without getting into the pool. At least you can hang your legs in water if it is that important for you.
As a personal opinion, moms never want bad things for their kids, and she might have reasons to say that to you. And i am sure she has basics to tell you so.
Good Luck and have fun

If you are going to swim you need to use a tampon. It is the only safe way. Tell your mom that you want to use a tampon so that you don't get sick, and so that the other people aren't swimming around in your blood. Tell her that you know that water does not stop a period, and you want to protect yourself. Good luck!
You can always buy your own tampons. Its your body and your decision. It is not like you are doing anything harmful to it. Tampons are completely safe (just don't leave them in longer than 8 hours).

I dont understand how you are too young for a tampon. The day you start your period you are old enough for a tampon, but yes that is basically your only option.

Tampon is really the only option if you want to swim. How can you be too young for a tampon? It doesn't do anything but stop the blood flow.

Did you explain to your Mom about the party? Try a slim tampon. I hate to give advice against your mother's wishes but she isn't being very sensitive to your situation. You shouldn't have to put your life on hold because of your period. Buy it yourself and only use them for swimming.

Ask your mom if she will let you use the smaller sized tampons; I think they say they're for young teens on the package, or maybe it says "extra slim fit." You get the idea. If she still says no, then just go and don't get in the water. Yeah, it would not be as fun, but you get to go and not miss your bf's party.
Good luck! And don't be mad at your mom if she disagrees with you. I'm sure she has good reasons for her decisions.

theres no reason why you are too young. if you have your period, youre old enough to use them. if she wont relent, buy your own. its your body, your decisions, and tampons arent a life altering decision.
