My view is ask BB King, Clapton, Beck, Page, Gilmour,
Frampton, Walsh, Gibbons, Knopfler, Prince (note:
Did anyone actually bother to catch listening to
this guy play during this last Super Bowl? He showed
the world what he's capable of, and does anyone
remember?--therein lies yet more tragedy) and
everybody else--including the revered jazz cats.
< So, uh, yeah. Hendrix is Still the Best.
Not so much as an or-what about it. Stars all around.

Jimi's version will always rock the hardest. Bob Dylan's original is a classic, and U2 did a reasonably good cover also.

Well, he's been dead for 30 years... so he's not still the best.
Has anyone been better than him? Hard to say, cause he kicked ***.

Jimi, is god. but U2 performs a respectable version. "DMB" is a crappy U2 ripoff by the way.
