I am American and what makes me proudest most is all the men and women serving for my country and me for freedom and justice and put their lifes on the line daily for the cause they were called to do and do not complain (all they want is our support and respect)

I am going to get a lot of thumbs down, but that is what makes America great, freedom of speech. I have visited and lived in many places through out the world. ( i am American)
I really am somewhat ashamed that we do not have a lot of rich traditions or beliefs. Yes, we are a mixed bag, but we do not carry on family or cultural traditions that those in other countries do. Nor do we respect or worship the ground our parents , grandparents walk on like so many other countries do. Look at England, they are steeped in tradition, look at Ireland's customs and folklore, Hispanic countries put their parents ( especially the mothers) on a pedestal and respect them tremendously. Wish there were more of that here.

I'm most proud to be an American because I am allowed to have my own beliefs and not be persecuted for them whether they be religious, personal, or other.

I am always proud of the way people band together in times of adversity...forgetting all personal differences for the greater good.

Hello dear!

Thanksgiving (maybe it is only once in a year, but appreciate what the others have done to us is positive!)
We are there when world needs our interference (unfortunately, we have lost a lot of our great virtues after WWII and penetrate everywhere in the world creating problems to others, mostly against the poor, weak, good!)

I am proud to be a daughter of WW2,POW,Veteran. My Dad loves the U.S.A. and would be there to protect our freedom now, if he was able. He taught us to respect and defend our country ,and that "Freedom is worth fighting for, and Freedom is not Free."
