No- I would not buy anything with a Celeron. They are obselete and much better CPUs aren't much more expensive.
A Turion or Core Duo is good for a mobile processor. A Turion X2 or Core 2 duo is great. Even a Sempron is better than the old Celery stick :)

I work at i.t warehouse at Norlunga/Christies beach..it all depends on what you want to do i mean Laptops built Celeron processors are relatively cheap but they aren't as good as Pentium's or centrino's. These days most thing require a pretty strong processor with a lot of cahce but unfortunately celerons don't have any cahce. If you are willing to buy off eBay the best bet would be to get a laptop with an Intel Pentium M processor if you dont want to buy off eBay though Centrino's would be best. Latops with a Centrino processor are fast due to the duel core in them and can start from $1000 up words.

The new celerons are a big improvement and good for all the basic stuff and more. At the budget end it is a good way to go. They are better than the old pentiums but not as good as the duos.

Celerons are cheap processors. They are Intel's "affordable" alternative to the Pentium.
This is aside from the fact you would be far better of with an AMD.
