I live in an older mobile home in an upscale park complete with pool, pond, and playground. My home is so comfortable that when the kids visit they fall asleep and rest.

my home is where the coast guard sends us... currently, the state of Washington. Green, moist mountains, hilly hairpin turn roads, busy busy traffic (near Seattle), lots of one way streets... I live in the heart of downtown on the fourth floor of a brand new building. it stays light here until almost 9 sometimes in the summer. I've got insomnia really bad! I hear everything! traffic is a constant roar in the distance... people talking... can't shut the window b/c there is no a/c in this place - not worth it when there are not enough hot days each year... I miss the quiet of the country sometimes. But I can feel the energy of the city, it makes me feel more confident and vivacious! I like to see the city lights through my window and know that I am only a block away from whatever I need. Now if I could just land the perfect job....

I hope you will bear with me, because this is going to be a long answer.
My home is a sanctuary for my self and my husband and also for my married kids.
It was built in 1924. It has a porch that is the full length of the house, with 2 sets of metal lawn furniture and oval braided rugs.
The porch is where we spend a great deal of time in the summer, visiting with the neighbors. Every one loves our porch.
We renovated this old home and made it very Cozy on the inside.
I have mauve carpet, tapestry upholstery on our couches.
Our end tables and coffee tables are early American. All our wood furniture was picked to last a life time as we could afford it, piece by piece through out the years
My colors are mauve, burgandy and off white/taupe.
I have always collected Blue Willow, milk white hobnail Fenton, silver and bronze collectables, displayed on the fire place mantle, shelves and here and there on end tables.
I collect what I like, not for the value.
I have several mirrors, ornate clocks, and Home Interior item on my walls.
I have a long window bench, with mauve cushions. Also lace curtains with pleated mauve drapes.
It's quiet brite with several flower arraingements, my daughter-in-law made for me..
When someone enters for the first time they look around and say, Wow.
It is not expensively furnished, but I have a knack for decorating on a shoestring, so to speak.
I have been home bound for the last four years. I love my home and I love to be home.
I hope I don't sound like I'm bragging, but I'm so thankful for what I have and I feel like one of the lucky people of the world.
We eat all meals on our dining room round oak table.
I have 172 family pictures and poems/quotes in beautiful frames that were mostly bought at thrift stores and antique shops throughout our 50 years of marriage.
If you could see it, I think you would like it.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to tell you about my home.

I live in a mobile home park in Florida (please no trailer trash comments, mobile home parks are very nice here) I have a large kitchen , living room, 2 bedrooms, enclosed porch. I like rustic colors so it is cozy. I like to keep things picked up so it does not looks cluttered, things out of place makes a house looks messy, i am obsessed with the kitchen counters and tables. I do need to dust though and my bedroom, which no one sees cuz the door is closed is a disaster.
We survived the 2004 hurricaines, maybe this year I won't have to worry about dusting, we might blow away.

well right now I'm in my parents condo in Hollywood but my real home is in San Miguel, Mexico. Its kind of like a big town house. The house is three floors and has five bedrooms. Everything is kind of centered around a courtyard in the middle of the house. There are four bathrooms and we have a bunch of other stuff.
Here's the website: http://www.casacastillasma.com/

Its Big . Lots of loving caring people here. It's not perfect , needs some work . But for the most part it keeps us warm and dry in the winter , cool in the summer. There's no place like home and no place I'd rather be.
I love my home very much .

Large, for this area anyway. Made of concrete, so it can withstand the typhoons. There are big ugly storm shutters on all the windows and doors. The AC works great, cause its hot in Guam. Best of all I have my wife and my 2 cats, thats what makes it a home

Small and quaint, one story, 3 bdrm, 2 bath, one room for my books, music, movies and computer just off the kitchen, master bdrm, one room for my hobby room, one guest room, attached 2-car garage and a single car garage for hubby's shop, corner lot, painted eggshell with hunter green trim, berber carpet and linoleum on the floors, off-white walls, lots of family pics around and original oils; overall very comfortable and just right for 2 people.
