I've been watching Futurama since the first episode was aired and was greatly disappointed the day it was cancelled (after only 4 production runs). Does anyone know why they cancelled the show and why no companies would want to bring back a top 5 animated show?

Comedy Central has acquired the rights to produce the series again. They started it as 4 movies (I think) which later they started to break it down into different story arcs. You can look at wikipedia for more info.
