Your poor child will spend most of her young life either explaining how to pronounce her name, or teaching people to spell it...........all because you had to be different. Desiree is lovely just the way it is.

After studying French for a number of years, I think Desiree looks exactly like it's pronounced. If I didn't know what you arer getting at, I'd have pronounced your spelling Des-AR-ay-uh. Just how it looks! MAybe if you want to keep the spelling without any confusion, drop the "h"?

congrats though!

speaking from experience... it's NOT a good feeling to go through life having to correct how everyone pronounces your name! It's neat to have a name that isn't in the top 100 BUT, I wish that my name was OBVIOUS. I also wanted to say that the middle name is far to complex to be matched up with a complex first name (even if you were to spell Desiree' in a traditional way...
CONGRATS!

why dont you just name her Desiree. That is a beautiful name and you child won't be made fun of when the teacher tries to pronounce the name. Or go for something like
Dezarie
Desarie
Dezaree
Dezaray
(try to leave out the h, it is generally confusing)

I am an Indian numerologist and astrologer......
DEZARAYH looks like the most mistaked name ever made...
It has almost all the numerological errors in it...
I am sorry, but if the child born between MARCH and AUG is named so ,probably she would be a beggar.
if u want a new spelling for desiree, then try
DESIRHEE
or
DEZIRY
or
DEZHIRYH
these 3 names r numerologically good enough...

i like the name, but i think you have too many letters with no real need. I love the idea of using a differnt spelling, but i would definately take out the h like maybe dezaray. I used to love the name pronounced without the "i" sound in the middle, more like dezrae. I think dezarayh makes me want to say dez-a-ray-ah. but i think dropping the h would make it easy to pronounce. play with all sorts of different spellings. remember that making it too unique will lead to a lifetime of correcting people and the child feeling "strange".

I would say it's a little exotic for my taste...maybe the spelling "Dezaray" Dezaray Angelique looks good, whereas Dezarayh Angelique looks like you're going from exotic to victorian.

Just a thought.

Honestly, I'm sure it will be mis-pronounced alot. When I looked at the name first before reading the 2nd line on your post I thought the same was pronounced as "duh-zar-uh". I would consider changing the spelling.

Desiree is beautiful the way it is! Why you would want to tamper with it is beyond me. Think of your poor kid trying to explain how to pronounce it a million times. Dezarayh is just hideous.

its confusing how you have spelled it. for the rest of your child's life they will have to explain how to pronounce it. its not a bad thing to want to change how a name is spelled but you shouldn't make it so complicated. i know from experience it gets annoying to have tell people how to pronounce your name. my name is pronounced exactly like it is written and people still cant pronounce it.
