I am a linguistics student, and for fun I just read 'Communication with Extraterrestrial Intelligence' which was edited by Carl Sagan. I liked how it approached the hypothetical subject with a scientific rigor, but was really fascinated by the references to this possible bridge language "LINCOS" that was mentioned a few times, but never fully explained.

I would really be interested in seeing how this language works, or reading any books about it that could be recommended.

thanks

Cirric--thanks, I had already read a similar article on wikipedia, but this external link was also on your site, and it was more what I was asking for (my fault for not specifying that point more clearly)

http://www.brunobassi.it/scritti/lincos.html

I was actually asking for a place to look through the original text, or a pretty thorough analysis of it. I searched amazon etc, and his book just doesn't seem to be easily available.

thanks for the help though, really appreciated.

anyone else have any leads?

thanks
d
