Unfortunately, I am, but only when it comes to riding with my 2 sons when they are driving. They are actually good drivers, but I worry more about other people's bad driving habits when I know my kids are out on those same streets. As far as riding with my elderly parents, (73 & 77), I am a silent back seat driver. I really don't say anything, but I do have white knuckles, rapid heart rate, instant migraine and I usually close my eyes when one of them are driving. Their reactions to other drivers are just not as quick as they should be. My dad is noted for stopping at the last minute, especially in slow traffic. He always waits to the last minute to step on the brakes and then they squeal. (One of these days, we are all gonna end up in the front seat with him after he has finally stopped) It's embarrassing and I usually will get down in the back seat so no one knows I'm back there. My mom does okay, but if she has to merge onto a lane, she would rather sit there for 45 minutes instead of trying to get a little closer to merging. This drives me crazy. If she sees a car coming a mile away, she will wait until that car has passed. I must admit, I am the good driver in the family. I have never had a wreck in 40 years of driving. Can't say that about too many of my other family members.

Nope, I can reach the pedals and radio better from the front seat. But I have done quite a bit of back seat romancing when I was younger.

im not one but my old metally screwed up bipolar friend is. the second he gets in the car I could say hi how are you today and he will say in return don't mind me just concentrate on your driving meanwhile we are in park.we drove the other day on a logn highway drive and ive been driving since 16 im 47 and no accidents I drove to british Columbia from Toronto and back with a17 ft truck hauling my car. he hasn't driven a car in 48 years. and hes saying hes a better driver and tells me im a bad driver. meanwhile I drive very safe and cautious I dotn pass cars and I don't speed. I drive extra extra careful before this bipolar freak gets in ym car. he gets me nervous. I cant drive with him hes going to get me into an accident. he yells at me like im a new driver. I have a class A insurance record. I drove for a steel company. drove forklift. hes been on disability most of his life. I missed my turn because he was yelling at me and I lost concentration. I tell him nicely while almost crying please shut up I cant take it and he gets worse. im 20 car lengths behind next vehicle he tells me to draw back. he tells me im speeding but im doing 100 klms on the highway and others are passing me. if satan was a human being he was in ym car the other day I swear. ive had family and friends tell me im a good driver. very safe. hes the only one. then he tells me that he hates his friend janets driving and some other womans driving too. I dotn hate him but I cant take him. and he says he wont drive with me anymore because I stress him out haaaaaa. I nearly died right there and then when he said that. I drive I dotn talk much im calm and quiet. relaxed. and he had me yelling and swearing. I never swear. and I dotn like to yell because I get chest pains after. people tell me he has aspurger syndrome and other mental issues. he completely denies it all. he got evicted from his apparent ment because he was a horder. for years he wouldn't let me turn to radio on. he would take everything from the dashboard and throw it in the back. I had a clean ex box beside me sitting on a compartment. its not a distraction he throws it in the back.. he is the worst of the worst back seat driver ive ever come across. he tells me to turn onto a street seconds before I approach the street then he yells uncontrollably at me saying im a bad driver I dotn follow instruction. im waiting for the day he dies so it will be the end of my backseat driver experiences.
