Why waste time getting married if you already have doubts that it may not work?

People have that mentality because it's EASIER to walk away from stressful problems than to find solutions that often take time, energy and a great emotional toll.

if you have doubt, real doubts then you shouldn't get married.
I didnt just marry a man I married my best friend.
I have just got married and I know before i got a married I was worried that i couldn't be the wife he wanted.( Doubts)
You have to know, trust and love him.
Nobody knows what is going to happen in the future but if i stood around wondering if the marrige is going to work then i have wasted all my time, instead of making it work.
Happliy Married Me...

I don't think that necessarily true because life throws unexpected events at you that lead to divorce. No one in their wildest dreams would think that their wife/husband would cheat on them but this sort of thing happens alot. Most of the people rather step aside than continue with the emotion roller coaster.

I agree with you.
I think some may have this mentality out of fear of rejection. So, they take a 'pre-emptive' strike strategy.
I just choose to never get married. I would want it to last forever, and that just doesn't happen anymore.

It's more about "Why get married and swear to vows in front of God and witnesses if you already have the door open in case you want to disobey your promise?"

We (as a society) make it TOO EASY for humans to get out of ANYTHING they are careless enough to get themselves in to. Open your phone book and count how many LAWYERS are listed in your town alone! Can you imagine how many there are in the USA?? WOW!

I don't agree with you. Most of my friends marry for a reason and not with the helpline like you said. However, whether they choose to marry or not is the their decision and the marriage will be in trouble only if one falters. So marriage is a very serious union between 2 persons and it should not be taken lightly.

I think alot of people don't take the commitment serious because of the easy out. Me and mine are 'til death do us part. It's the only way out.

I'd never go into a marriage thinking that way. Neither would most people I know.
