I make my own, so I know that is a fair price. I have looked at the online homemade jewelry site, and they are generally running anywhere from $18 - $75 for handmade necklaces.

Pricing can vary depending on your location and whether it is REAL turquoise and STERLING silver or immitation. People expect a deal at a farmers market and $35 is not a lot to pay in a location like that. However, if you are in a wealthy city and ask ONLY $35 then you are correct, they will think it's too cheap therefore won't buy. I live in an area like this. I've raised my prices for shows or events like a farmers market to make that specific type of customer happy that they are spending over $50 for something I would normally sell for $35.

I would have to see the actual necklace. Are you asking because you have made some jewelry & are pricing your work, or it is something you received/have and just want to sell it? Is it an antique or has the silver been antiqued? It would also depend on the size and color of the nuggets and if they have been stablized.

I think it would depends on the person themselves. Some may think so others not. If you see they don't want to look at it ask why? the best part of selling at farmers markets or flea markets is to talk with the people and BS a little. Myself I look at things, then make up my mind, then look at the price. What do you think it is worth and put that price. I use the coin collector instinct in me on all things I buy.
