yes, since the DS can play GameBoyAdvanced games, it will play GameBoyColor games as well, although the cartridge will be sticking out.

Okay, well I don't know if the DS Lite supports it, but the Nintendo DS only will play DS games and Gameboy Advance games, the Gameboy color games won't work.

Original Gamboy Games
Gameboy Color Games
Super Gameboy Games
I know, I owned one, and I had to keep my Gameboy Advance to play the 50 or so original and color gameboy games that I have.

you mean game boy and gameboy color games? They are not supported by it in any way.
It only supports gba and ds games.
