I recommend kaspersky Internet Security, it does not slow down your computer, it scans within archives such as rar and zip, has hourly updates, It is not main stream like Norton or Mcafee but it is the best anti virus, try the trial version for 30 days and if you don't like it but I bet you will you can easily remove it not like Norton where you need a removal tool.

got with AVg free. stay far away from the main antivirus programs like norton and mcafee. those two programs keep getting defeated by hackers all the time.
