So 37 - 4.9 = 32.1 and 32.1 /37 = .8675 or about 87%

If the total expenditure is taken to be 1000, the expenditure on food comes out to be 370 and the expenditure on education comes out to be 49 and the difference is 321. The expenditure on education is 321 less that the expenditure on food. The percentage of 321 to 370 is given by 321/370*100=86.76% approx. The option (1) 87%, therefore, is the right answer.
