How to i get Vista to display dual monitors correctly.
The wallpaper doesnt go straight accross it just clones the wallpaper on each monitor as if they were both their own desktop.

The only settings i have are tile full and center. None of these options display the picture across the desktops.

Yeah tony i tried that. there are only three options and none of them put the screen across.

Did i mention one screen is a widescreen and different resolution than the other? :/

You might need to select a different video resolution in order for the other wallpaper options to become available. For example, if you have two monitors running at 1024x768, the wallpaper would normally be duplicated on each, but you could still drag windows, icons etc.across from one display to the other.

For what you want (one continuous background) you might need to set the resolution to 2048x768- if your video card supports that mode.

Rt-click on any empty space on the desktop.
Select "Personalize"
Select the Background setting (IIRC second from the top, I'm not in front of a Vista at the moment).
Besides the various selections, across the bottom row you will see a variety of pictures which depict your various options to center, stretch, tile, more.
