Congratulations on taking your civic duty seriously. When you vote you need to make an informed decision. Study ALL the candidates and vote for the one who you think will meet your expectations. Don't restrict your choice to one party - go for the best candidate. My opinion of Obama does not match that of his supporters. I really prefer someone of substance and experience who will not only state their views but offer remedies that they will take to correct problems. If a candidate's song sounds too sweet then don't trust it and look at the real person underneath.

YOU have to make up YOUR mind -no one else. We have until NOV of 2008 to decide so listen and learn about the candidates before making up your mind too early. You never know you might even pick a Republican or Independent. A lot can happen over the next 14 months.
Usually young voters go for the person not the party. So try not to vote for the party BUT the person you think would help our country the most!!!!
Obama I think would be the best Democratic Candidate at this time.

Obama has a pretty good chance. He's #2, right below Hillary, in the primaries. Also, in a lot of major polls he's ahead of Giuliani, McCain, Romney, and F Thompson for the general election.
He opposed the war in Iraq from the start. He spoke out against it and criticized it. He's proposed bills try to withdraw our troops (the bills haven't passed yet though obviously). He also has a good universal healthcare plan that I believe can and will work given the chance. He also has a broad appeal to independents and swing voters because he's worked in a lot of bipartisan initiatives and such. Also I believe him to be a very ethical candidate because he's received almost all (99%) of his campaign contributions from individual citizens instead of PACs and lobbyists. He's also pushed really heavily for reforms to limit lobbyist influence.
I have a lot of faith in him.

You have over a year to find out what is going on in this country, who the candidates are, and who is the best candidate, according to your standards. I know you are only 20, but you should know who is running and what each one stands for. I am old, and whoever gets in, even if they do a lot of damage, I will be dead before it affects me. But you have a stake in all of this.
Better do your homework. Whoever becomes president will affect you for many years to come. Americans feel that they do not have to work at maintaining a democracy. The easiest way to lose what freedoms we have is with an ignorant, uninformed electorate.

I wasn't going to answer this one as I thought it was a troll but now I do think you are sincere. All the candidates are CFR followers with 2 or 3 exceptions. Doesn't mater which gets in it will be more turning us into the North American Union. Research this if you don't know what it is.
We do have one candidate that doesn't lie and flip flop. One that has always voted in favor of our constitution without waiver and that is Dr. Ron Paul. You owe it to your self to find out what he stands for and his plans for fixing the mess!

You're young enough not to be swayed by partisan politics. Go online, research *all* of the candidates, and choose the one you like best. Th *H!@@#* with party...
There is a congress website that lets you review their voting records... that is the most basic and unbiased view you can get of them.

Vote for RON PAUL.
He is a man of integrity, but dont just take my word for it. Search for him on the web. The media is trying to crush him but still he holds firm to his ethics and believes in small goverment and low taxes. He is republican but also anti war which makes him the black sheep of the republican family.

We don't have a strong democratic candidate. We don't have strong republican candidates yet either. I hope something improves soon.
