Yes, I do edit the answer if it is wrong, or I catch a spelling error, or some more info needs to be added. I edit a lot when I go get a "LINK" that should be included in the answer.

Yes, because sometimes I needed to add extra information or edit some spelling errors.

If you think you have to edit it , check it again.Look for mistakes and places in the answer you don't like then edit it.If you can't find any , look again. If you find mistakes , edit them , then after you edited them , look at your newly approved answer. But basically , just check the answer over again and edit it if there are mistakes.

I've tried to, but every time I am about to edit my question, I realize that it is a legitimate question and then there is no need to edit it

All the time!
Before I began staying home with my kids, I was an editor for a publishing company. I yearn for the day I possess the technology to swoop in and correct everyone else's posts!

Some times. Especially if someone has made a rude comment or given me a thumbs down I will.

i edit my answers if i make atrocious spelling mistakes (i probably spelled that wrong haha) but mostly i only edit my questions. it seems that no matter what i ask, people start to take it the wrong way. they start assuming, and forget to actually answer my question
