This is a tough question, but Staudamire is the better player, not only does he rebound more, score more, but as a power forward/center he has more value, not to mention he is 4 years younger that marion. Small forward are easier to come by in todays NBA. Marion is a unique individual, he is a good offensive weapon but he is a great defender, Stoudamire is a superstar and will be for a while. If the suns were smart they would not move either one!

Right now I would have to say Marion is Because his choice position is Power Forward and at that position he is faster than almost every one else. However if you are asking this question about which would be better to keep if they get Garnett I say its Stoudamire because he is younger and Garnett can show him how to be even better. Marions Defence is far better. Stoudimire more aggressive some times too aggressive. So in the end I would say Marion is better but Stoudamire can eventually be far better.

stoudamire, he steps up in the playoffs and dominates
marion is a good all around but when the pressure is
on he disapears and misses shots, amare in the end of
the games makes big shots.
i'd like to see marion leave and amare stay and get
KG next year as a free agent instead of losing Amare this
year. it would be a bad bad move.

I am a phx suns fan and have watched every phx game this year and stats say that marion gets more time on the floor but amare scores more and rebounds more and shoots at a higher percentage so i would say amare is better than marion.

MARION Because shaun marion is better than amare in the two things he does best dunking marion is a beast and shaun marion is a better rebounder than amare stoudimire and he is shorter so he has more jumping power than amare and marion can play three different positions.

Marion is the better player, he works harder to get better and doesn't make excuses.... He's a team player and does all of the dirty work and never gets any credit... Amare is good but he whines too much and he doesn't have Marion's intangibles

tough question indeed. amare is far by the better offensive player while marion is the better defensive player. but the jury is still out. let us see what both of them can do without steve nash. hope amare will pack his bags and leave for atlanta, while marion will be shipped to boston. paging mr steve kerr, pull the trigger!!!
