Ganguly turns 35 this july , Sachin, Dravid and Laxman is not far behind. Kumble is 37 years old. The BCCI is being near sighted and choosing an experienced bunch of cricketers to avoid humiliation while the term of their office there.
If BCCI members are elected for one year it is better to play safe and choose experienced players even though they will not be playing for more than 1-2 years. What really scares me is the test team. Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid, Laxman, Kumble.
Now the one day side is also packed with three of these superstars.
They are superb no doubt what after them. There will never be another Sachin, or a dravid or a ganguly (wonderful captain).
However my choise of the team of the future will be on these lines in ODI, Tests & 20 20
ODI
Shewag, Uthappa, Kaif, Yuvraj, Raina, Dhoni, Pathan Yousef, Pathan Irfan, Piuysh Chawla(he really impresses me), Harbajan Singh, Munaf Patel, Agarkar, Sreesanth, Zaheer, Mahesh.
Tests
Shewag, Jaffer, Kaif, Yuraj, Raina/Tewari,

Test Team
Shewag, Jaffer, Kaif, Yuvraj, Raina/Tewari, dinesh Karthick, Piyush Chawla, Harbajan, Sreesanth, Zaheer, Munaf, Bose
For 20 20
I would go for all hitters like
Dhoni, Yuvraj, Raina, Yousef Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Uthappa, Tewari, Agarkar, Shewag, Harbajan, Zaheer.
As far as captains are concerned the best of the current lot would be Mohammed Kaif for Tests and ODI's and Dhoni for 20 20.
Only Yuvraj ,Raina & Dhoni to a lesser extend would find a place in all three forms

In order to take care of the replacement for the senior players who will be retiring in the near future, BCCI should start blooding talented and promising young players in the team and keep on rotating the players for some time till such time they are able to finalise a pool of 20 to 25 players even if India loose some of the matches, so that by the time the senior players retires, India will have enough bench strength to replace these players..

Somebody will have to work on this important subject of selection of talented team members, training etc. It is not going to be very easy. For example, we don't have a substitute for Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly etc. Hence they are in the team.

The only certainity is SACHIN TENDULKAR will hang around till his last breath scoring pathetic hundreds against even more pathetic teams like Bangladeshs and Zimbabwes.

When he is done with, I am sure he will find a place for his son and then his grand son and so on. You get the picture now, don't you.

Nothing special is needed.
All their players are very talented.
India can beat every team if their powerful bating line-up do their duty.
Actually India has the most powerfull battin line-up these days.
All their batters are very talented ( as well as AGGHRESSIVE )
If each of them do well, India would be ranked as No1.
