Because all BMW keys have a transponder chip built-in (called the EWS system), only the dealer can get it for you. They have to be ordered and each car is only allowed a maximum of 6 additional keys (in addition to the 4 provided with the car originally). The keys can cost from $50 - $80.

At the time of order, you can tell the dealer to delete the other keys from the system so that nobody else can drive your car even if they had one of the original keys.

get the key from the dealer. any bootled key could lead to your car disappearance or the damage of your computer board.

go to lock smith who makes keys for cars.he can make one as per sample.
if you have lost the key,u remove your trunk lock and give a lock smith.he will make for you.

you can only get it frm the dealership! and it will cost you a good $50. to do this, but remember to take in your registration and your ID when you do this!
