Everytime someone is leaving or is on-the-go and they call me, I always tell them to drive safe.. All I get back is "Yeah, I will.." or a sarcastic pissed off drawn out "Yeppp".. My Mom is the only one who knows I mean well. There's no hidden meaning behind it like "I know you're a sh*tty driver! Please drive safe!"..

I say that to everyone too, only because I have lost a lot of friends in car accidents. I get an attitude too, but at least they are thinking about it enough to give me an attitude. Maybe you will save a life. Keep it up!

It's because they know they shouldn't be on the phone while they're driving and they feel like they're being called on it.
