I've heard both Noel and Noelle pronounced "NO el" as a girl's name, but I think that Noel for a boy is pronounced "Nole" (1 syllable).

Noelle is always pronounced with the accent on the second syllable. Noel is also accented on the second syllable if you use it as a word - like in the Christmas carol "The First Noel" - but if Noel is a man's name, I've always heard it pronounced with the accent on the first syllable.

I think they's sound pretty much the same...- but isn't "Noel" a boys name, and "Noelle"- a girls ? You might want to check that out- just in case that makes a difference to you...

Noelle!!
That is such a pretty name, but spelling it like this will add more girly-ness!
I love it.
