WASHINGTON (CNN) — It’s not every day a presidential hopeful sends Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff a head of lettuce, but that’s what Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colorado, is doing Wednesday to show his disagreement with Chertoff’s recent comments on how failure of passing immigration reform might affect the agricultural industry.

Thank you for your consideration but before takeoff on Air Force One "CIGAR" is always part of the routine.
CIGAR is a mnemonic that refers to a pre-takeoff checklist performed by general aviation pilots. The mnemonic stands for:
Controls: Check for freedom, full deflection of control surfaces and that they move in the direction they're meant to!
Instruments: Check instruments for proper operation, indication, and setting.
Gas: Check to insure proper fuel supply; this will include fuel shutoff valve, mixture, fuel selector switch, and electric fuel pump, if so equipped.
Airplane: A general check of the airplane and occupants, ie seat-belts on, door closed and locked, everything secure (no pens etc loose), seats upright and locked in place (those that slide back and forth or tilt). Trim tabs can be checked here, but they should always be checked and adjusted in the pre-takeoff checklist.
Run-up: Perform the engine run-up check; this will include checking magnetos, engine instrument indications, and carburetor heat, if so equipped.

I don't agree with his politics but I like Tancredo. Bush could learn something about integrity from him.
I found this comment by Tancredo in the story to be interesting:
“The administration has taken hyperbole to a whole new level this time,” Tancredo said in a statement. “They are now trying to convince the public that without amnesty, the American people are going to starve?”
The words "THIS TIME" are what pique my interest. Does this mean that Tancredo is saying that the Bush Administration has used fear tactics in the past?

Hillary and the Democrats have moved on. It's only people stuck in the 90s that are still obsessing about cigars. Bill already apologized to the American people. Those who haven't forgiven him are only hurting themselves. I'm sure he has apologized to Hillary and she has moved on. Sending her cigars probably wouldn't bother her, but just show how pathetic people are who still hold a resentment for something that was none of their business to begin with.

Unbelievable what people say to degrade another woman put through the most difficult time of her life, which 50% of Americans who are married do they same thing. The only difference is they can't get away from those who would cast the first stone.: People like you!
She spent a miserable time, largely because of people like you? Have anything nasty to say about Chelsea, certainly more grown and well rounded that the current lawbreakers in the whitehouse children, who also happened to have an affair as well!

I doubt it'll affect the industry if we rid ourselves of illegals! The ingenuity of this country along with capitalism, can easily figure out a way to build machinery that can harvest most of the agricultural industry! If not, we have plenty of capable welfare recipients that need jobs! Besides, we can still have immigrants come here on temporary work visas!

Why would you want to protest someone's candidacy? Isn't she allowed to run just because you still seem to have some sort of obsession with her husband's sex life?
If you don't like her don't vote for her - but to try to prevent her from running is downright un-American.
