An eclipse is a representation of alignment, and expansion
by biased measurement. Considering that the sun is a
farther distance than the moon not only does the sun
expand the moon by equal/two-dimensional measurement,
but by depth in distance. Both the sun and the moon
couldn't both be the sun and the moon in the same space.
Does the sun or the moon determine the orbit of all entities.
It is true that the sun has more gravity than the moon within
its center, but how does the moon come to be within the
proper distance to set orbit within that gravity. Furthermore,
could the moon set orbit within that gravity if not for all the
other moons and planets within that gravity, and all of those
bodies each somehow coming within the sun's gravity.
Therefore, the eclipse is not invasive in its measurement.
Does the moon have more attention than the sun. From
the planet which it orbits I think it must because the moon
is rarely eclipsed by other bodies. The sun does receive
an attention from the system as a whole greater than the
moon/s of a planet. Therefore, the moon receives the
more thorough understanding, but the sun receives the
expansive intensity of having a higher magnitude of
distribution. Therefore, the moon is similar to the likeness
that an individual has to their own individuality, and the
sun is like the individual's distribution which can find
relation beyond others' individuality; the connection between
self and self is the moon and the connection between
self and others is the sun.

An Eclipse is a sudden darkening caused be a shadow cast when two heavenly bodies fall into alignment. Although it was a cause of fear for many early peoples (especially those who worshiped sun and moon as deities) eclipses were among the earliest astronomical events people found they could predict. I don't tend to romanticize eclipses, I've gone through some dark times in my life, but know that they are transient and not the result of some maleficent power. The sun and moon are still there, constant in their cycles.

Birth

There was a sun eclipse the day I was born.

Addition: I still think this is right for me. There is nothing sinister in it, as something bright and alive emerges from the darkness or something potential but specific takes its shape from general undifferentiated energy. All of this is birth. The sun eclipse is somewhat like the new moon phase, which represents female power at its strongest.

Peace.

An Eclipse does not represent anything for me.

A blank spot, just as predictable, but, because of my own self-biased seems to be unpredictable. Therefore, I treat it just as the ancients do with an eclipse and create special meaning within myself for it. If only I could accept the predictions within my own life as well as the ancients, well...then rises the question would I? A lot of the fun would be eliminated, a lot of the learning, but I really do need to recognize, accept, and hold those eclipses with a certain self reverence.

My spiritual qualities are the sun. They brighten my life and the lives of all whom I touch. When my ego, the moon, gets in the way, and I think and behave ignobly, with less than integrity, my true self, my reality is hidden, obscured and does not radiate out to warm and bring life to others. That is true eclipse. Thank your for this opportunity to be profound and poetic.
