I have experienced and I feel like there are moments of 'feeling known' where someone else 'gets' me. My guess is that most of us, other than folks with pretty severe psychological difficulties (like personality disorders), have had those experiences, especially early in life.
But overall I'd have to agree with the existentialists that 'isolation' is our fate. We can never be completely known by another human being. We can have significant areas where someone else 'gets' us, but it can never be *all* of us.

Yeah of course, most people just know a little bit about me but I guess thats my own fault. I'm the type of person that has to really trust someone enough to really let them get to know me. As for me knowing myself I think its pretty clear that I do, but sometimes things just happen in life that make me think I don't.

When I was younger I did feel that way. With age, however, I've come to understand myself a lot better, and I think that projects to the people around me.

Yes I do, Although I can honestly and proudly say that I am starting to know myself and accept me very well = ) The bad thing is that I don't open up to people and unfortunately for them they do not get to know me completely.
=)

It is easy to judge others but it`s hard to accept those unacceptable things about us but others have known. Those discoveries are really painful yet they are true. So, yes!

of course...expect my mom...she can tag me lol..the apple never falls far from the tree....but in my heart of hearts ,as everyone does I hide, my evil is worse then yours....my awful pettiness meaner then yours...but we cry out to have someone know us...to accept us,regardless, with age small nuggets of knowing myself come about,if I let them...it takes courage to learn about yourself
