I danced off and on for 6 years. I got started after watching "From Dusk til Dawn" where all the strippers were dancing around the bar. It intrigued me to see if I could actually do something so daring.

Then I went to a male strip club one night with some friends, and saw how much money the guys made..... so like a week later I went to a gentleman's club and danced. I hated it at first (I felt really gross when guys would just look at me when I was naked on stage and not tip).

Then it was off and on (love / hate thing with that business). But it allowed me to travel to parts of the world I may never have seen if I had stuck with that monotonous job in the restaurant ;-)

If you are thinking of getting into it, I say more power to you, but the best advice really is to not start dancing at all.
It can harden you against men, and can make you greedy for and unappreciative of money. If you are a strong-willed person that knows you could do it for only a few years, then go for it. If you are weak and contrlled by money, dont ever start, or you'll be that 50 year old, single stripper that is still working the dark corners of the club, giving *&^$ jobs for $20. (Ive seen it, its sad).

I became a stripper to put myself through med school.
I have a nice body-
and med school is WAY too expensive.
I make 400 a night in NYC, and much more on the weekend.
But it does tire you out-- late nights etc..
I don't accept drinks while I dance either.
It just a job-- as long as you keep it just a job.
There are others I know who do extras and tacky stuff,,, rather embarrassing to speak of.

I am not quite a stripper, but I do go shirtless when I lift weights at home. Hot summer days also get me to go shirtless, and that's a good thing. Girls will be able to see my beiseps.
