I read somewhere that someone did a study on Ouija boards - where they blindfolded participants and they couldn't formulate a message. My rationale is that there must be a unique psychology to who will chose to move the Ouija when playing, and who will sit back and allow the Ouija to be moved. Did you move the Ouija? And if you did, did you conceptualize this as actuality?

I did it... I moved the Ouija! Dammit! It wasn't my dead Grandma Gertrude. She wasn't REALLY cominicating with me from the other side. And NO, she didn't really tell me that Grandpa used be a pimp. It was ME the whole time. I made it up... I moved the Ouija! OKAY? There ya feel better now? Ya happy?

I've read somewhere that it's the unconscious mind (some say subconscious) that causes it to move, that the players are moving it, but are unaware of doing so. Then again, my grandmother claims she's gotten lucky Lotto numbers from a Ouija Board several times, so who can say? Maybe we'll never really get a scientific answer to who actually moved the Ouija.

I never used such a device. I too have heard of such studies. I do believe in God and such. In that, I believe that such are "doors" or opportunities for demons to exert more influence on us than should be allowed. Once a person starts playing with Ouija boards, the next step is believing stuff. That's just dangerous.

i tried the 'kids' version of ouija. this new girl moved into town. she told us about it. scared the crap out of me. we could all make one with regular 8 x 11 paper. this one girl wasnt a believer. after a few q's, she still thought i was moving it to form answers. so for the last q, she walked far enough that we couldnt hear, and she turned so we couldnt read lips. it was a silly q, what was her favorite color. i closed my eyes, and the message was "blue" - correct answer. she was pissed. crumpled up the paper and threw it away. u could say we memorized the letters the way you memorize it on a keyboard, and u could say maybe we guessed correctly her favorite color. but for me, neither. and needless to say i was glad she tossed that thing too. what thing to show kids, eh?
