How does a White Rabbit-playing band like Jefferson Airplane turn into a "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now and We Built This City on Rock n Roll-playing" Starship?! Where's the logic???

Because most people don't have a good music taste and they just get fed with terrible bands on MTV or on the radio and they believe that that is real and good music! And/or there just too lazy to take the time and effort to explore and try to discover new and good underground bands such as AC/DC, Led Zepplin, Suicidal Tendencies, etc.

i don't know that there is any logic to it, considering the differences in the eras, the buying public, and what the record companies are pushing. look at genesis for example, or how everything the beatles did was so cutting edge at the time and now it would all be bubble gum at best.
