I think the tipping point will ultimately be scales. With the drastic rise in obesity and all of the diseases associated with it, more and more people are going to require health care and prevention measures. There is already a growing need for nurses and medical staff to care for aging baby boomers, some of the unhealthiest people in history, and things will only continue to become more dire. Even all of the nay-sayers who think a national health care system is ridiculous and that health schemes (such as banning advertisements aimed toward children or regulating food that may be served in public schools for nutritional value) have no effects will see that if we are not taking care of ourselves, there is no way we can take care of our nation. I truly believe we are on the verge of a health crisis in this nation and once it sets in in earnest, people will be clamoring for the government to do something- fund research, anything!

I agree Hillary Clinton would be that tipping point. I think if she had a chance lots of things would start to change in a positive way. The world is in a bad bad way. After all these years of Republicans and there ways, it will take so much time and magic to straighten it back up even close like we had it before the last big mistake the nation made in electing you know who. What ever it takes something has got to happen soon or there may not be a way out.

The change happened many years ago. The acceptance of immorality that is taking place right now will determine the fall of our great nation. What happened to the great Roman Empire is occurring right now in the USA. Gays and other immoral character that is being forced down our throats by minorities is going to challenge us in the coming years. The silent moral majority needs to speak up and stop the ruination of our country before it is too late! No political party or leader can "tip the scales" one way or another, as change for the good or bad happens slowly over time and society must react before it is too late!

President Barack Obama would turn this country around for the better. I like Hillary Clinton but she is not as forthcoming as Obama. However, she is more trustworthy than anyone in the Republican field.
If we have another Republican in office, I fear our country could have civil unrest and possibly invasion by countries such as Iran or China. The agenda on that side of the party lines is too unrealistic and self-serving.

Don't fix it if it ain't broke:
Do we absolutely know that it's broke?
We will fix it when we all know that it is broke.
When we have a cohesive set of goals to achieve and a clear view of how to achieve them.
When we are not fighting each other because our boys didn't come up with the plan.
When we know that the system is not being enforced or would not work even if it was.
Would we have to if we established expectations like Wall Street?
...We were expecting plans for medicare upgrade up to the point we defined and you folks did not meet our expectations for this quarter. "You're Fired."
...The trade deficit got worse. "You folks are about to vote for a "Pay Decrease for yourselves." "The people who do work for minimum wage will be the ones who will decide just how much you will drop by."
A sideline question:
What do you want America to be in the future?

Civil disobedience. I hope.
Civil unrest. I fear.
As a footnote, the fact that I have to edit my response for fear of government investigation suggests that the tipping point should have already passed.
