If you liked Heroes on TV go for Firestarter.
The Regulators was the only book to cause me to lose sleep.
Dark Tower is very long, but good. Better after you've read some other books first.
Nightmares and Dreamscapes is good collection.
Eye of the Dragon is also good.

I need to get The Wolves of the Calla, Song of Susannah and the final chapter, The Dark Tower.

As a die hard King fan,I suggest you start The Darktower Series. There are several good ones under the name Richard Bachman a great one is The Bachman Books( collection of four of the five novels written under the psuedonym) A new one called Blaze is out and it looks like a good one too.Everythings Eventual ,so you'll read them any way, I am sure!

IT (Full on Horror)
or
The Dark Tower series , The Gunslinger is the first book (Stephen Kings decades long project)
or
The Eyes of the Dragon (not your typical Stephen book, Fantasy)

The Stand is my favorite book by him....but the above are all great reads. Enjoy!

absolutely the Dark Tower series. Other good ones are Needful Things, Gerald's Game, and Dolores Claiborne.

One not to read is Insomnia. Way too long. I'd also avoid Thinner. I've been thinking a lot lately about how much I liked Gerald's Game so you might want to try that. I'd also go with The Dead Zone.

If you haven't read any of the Dark Tower series, do it now. Do not wait, if you are a fan of SK, buy The Gunslinger, read it and do the same with the rest of the series. It will change your life.
