1. It takes 14 hours from Texas so, from there, I'd say 15 hours.

2. Appropriate clothes and a passport. Don't forget a camera too.

3. The Japanese are some of the kindest people in the world. Very friendly.

4. There are tons of hotels. The cheapest ones are about 6,000 yen. $55.

5. It depends on your budget. Roughly $1000 for airfare. $55 or more a night for hotels. At least $4 per meal. Don't take taxis. Trains and buses are cheap and efficient.

6. Yes. Tokyo Disneyland is awesome.

1. About 13-17 hours.
2. Clothes, passport, lots of money
3. Yes. The Japanese people are very plesent
4. Many options, you can do youth hostels if you want to go cheap as other things can be quite expensive. For something different you might want to try a capule hotel, you sleep in what is essentially a tube.
5. Depends on what you plan to do. Including accomodation about 200-300 dollars a day should do.
6. They have Tokyo Disneyland but it is not worth visiting if you have been to the one in America. The best one is Nagashima Spaland, it has one of the best rollarcoaster in the world! Just be aware that it is located near Nagoya, south of Tokyo.

1- From Mississippi to Narita Airport it probably takes around 15 hours, back probably 13.
2- If you go in the winter, snow clothes. If you go in the summer, and umbrella and light clothes since it is VERY hot.
3- Japanese people are the nicest I have ever met in all my travels.
4- Tokyo. If you can, go to kyoto. In Tokyo, stay near a good JR rail station. In Kyoto stay in the South Eastern part.
5- Depends on how long and where you stay. Airfair is about $1,000 from United. From Mississipi you'll probably have to add about $500 for a connecting flight, since you'll have to go to a major international airport. Let's say you stay for 2 weeks. If you go as cheap as a hostel, you could do it for $1000 if your careful. If you stay in a hotel with an average of $300 per night. You're looking at like $4000. Don't forget food and cabs and trains.
6- Yes! Tokyo disney land is supposed to be cool.

1. It's probably about 18 hours from your door to Tokyo, unless you live near an international airport (I think Houston is the closest one to you, maybe). The flight from LA to Tokyo is about 12 to 14 hours.

2. Depends on how long you are staying, but three changes of clothing should be good. You can wash them in the washing machines.

3. Like everywhere, some Japanese peoples are nice, and some are total raging idiots (and really mean, too!). But in general, Japanese people are really nice, very helpful and they like foreigners.

4. Hotel, Japanese inn or you could do what's called a "homestay" where you stay at someone's house. Ask your high school guidance counselor about homestay programs.

5. Lots. Japan is expensive and there's lots of cute stuff. I'd budget about $150 per day for hotel, food and souvenirs. Oh, and taxis and trains. The flight? Depends on how old you are. There are student discounts.

6. Yes! Lots of them. Tokyo Disneyland is probably the biggest and most famous. But there are lots of others, too. Like one all about Hello Kitty.
