So minimum wage in texas is $5.15 and someone told me that in August its going up to $7.25 does anyone know if that is true or not.

Effective July 24, 2007, the federal minimum wage will increase to $5.85 an hour,
Effective July 24, 2008, the federal minimum wage will increase to $6.55 an hour; and
Effective July 24, 2009, the federal minimum wage will increase to $7.25 an hour.

minimum wage is not determined by any state. it is a federal law. that means minimum wage is the same everywhere in the us

That is not true. It is not scheduled to go up at all.
