I have a 100+ aquarium with tons of fish. Everyone seems healthy (so far). Recently I put a white feeding thing in there to eat while I was out of town. I forgot about it and it started to mold.

Now there is mold all over the place. It's a white mold of some sort. I've tried hosing it out, washing the rocks out, but it just starts coming back by the next day.

Any ideas of what will kill it before it gets my fish?

I'll have to do more research but it certainly looks like mold. It is white and has chunks that have blue behind him, like something you'd see on your bread.

I have several algea eaters (huge pleco and 2 Chinese algea guys) but no one is touching this!

Thanks for you ideas. Keep 'em coming!

I doubt your fish are in any danger at all from this, but it can be very unsightly. It's actually a fungus and can easily be killed by most fungus medications.

Get some of those bottom feeder fish that just suck on the side of the tank. They eat algae.

By the way, it's most likely algae, not mold. Here are some more tips:

Your best bet is to remove all fish from the tank and get some scalding hot water and bleach after the tank. Just make sure you get all the bleach out of the tank before refilling it for the fish.

move your fish to another tank, then scrub the mold out with bleach. just make sure it's completely clean before you stick the fish back in.
