I dropped a necklace once. It was costume jewelry, so it got flushed away. I wasn't digging for it.

You could have used a metal coat hanger and soak the necklace in bleach. I would save it only because it might clog your pipes. I have only dropped rolls of toilet paper in there as I was unwrapping a new roll it slipped. I think twice that has happened. What a waste of a fresh roll! I for the life of me cannot understand the dropping of cell phones in toilets. Why are they on the phone in the bathroom? Imagine the person on the other end hearing their business.Gross!

Yes, I dropped my bracelet and it wasn't costume jewelry so I had to fish it out. The bowl didn't even have anything in it and I still gagged!

i haven't dropped anything in the toilet. but, my dad has dropped his cell phone in the toilet. yes, he did dig it out. it was gross. it still works. he had to clean it off really good. yuck!
oh, i should add this is the man that had his phone run over by a truck on the freeway. he accidentally left the phone on top of his car. lol. he had to buy a new phone. it was crushed like a pancake.

Yes, a cassette tape & yes, I fished it out. After it dried, it worked fine. In fact, that was 15 yrs. ago, it STILL works. lol
btw, a lot of costume jewelry is worth quite a bit of money these days. Next time, I'd go in & get it. ; )

My little kids have purposely put stuff in the toilet like matchbox cars, happy meal toys, blocks, etc. Sometimes my husband and I catch them in the act and can get it out in time. Other times were not so lucky and they flush it down.
You wouldn't want to see our plumbing bill!

I dropped one of my favorite toys in once. I used gloves covered by a plastic bag to grab it out. The water was uncomfortably cold.

i havent but my sister has.
she dropped her cell phone in it when she was standing up AFTER she finished using it and she still fished it out.
it got too much water in it so it broke. kinda disappointing...to go through all tht trouble. : )
