i think that snape is good through and through. he made an unbreakable vow to dumbledore that he would kill him or do whatever was necessary to stay close to voldermort. BECAUSE it is going to come down to snape to help harry kill voldermort. since harry and voldermort have brother wands they cannot straight up duel (remember in 4 how their spells canelled each other out) so someone else must intervene, i think most likely snape then ron or hermione.

i also think harry is voldermorts last horcrux therefore he must kill himself or have someone else do it for him after he destroys all the others (including the piece in voldermorts body)

so snape good both harry and voldermort die. and dumbledore is NOOOOOOTTTTTTTTT coming back!!!! jk said it herself

Snape = good: Reasons,
1. Dumbledoor told Malfoy he could protect him from the dark lord by making him appear to die in a VERY convincing manner.
2. Dumbledoor is NOT stupid and he would not ahve drank that potion without some protection.
3. Dumbledoor needs some freedom to find the remaining horcruxes.
4. The Avara Cadavera curse lets out a green light. The spell the killed Dumbledoor was NOT green.

i.e. Dumbledoor is NOT dead...

This is my opinion.

Harry = live

I also do NOT believe harry will die.
Reason, the author writes childrens stories. I can not see her killing off teh hero that some many children have come to love.

I think Snape is good, darnit because he really is rude. I read on Jo's website that the order sends messages by their patronus, and that "The Patronus is an immensely efficient messenger for several reasons: it is an anti-Dark Arts device, which makes it highly resilient to interference from Dark wizards" That means that if Snape was bad, he wouldn't be able to communicate with them or receive messages. I think he said Severus Please so Draco wouldn't have to do it or be killed because Dumbledore lived. I read the 6th book recently and it was talking about Voldemort's anger when he learned about the diary being destroyed. I think the only person that could have told Dumbledore that would be Snape.
I think Harry will live. How would the series end if Voldemort lived? I think in the end she will let good prevail. At the Harry, Carry, and Garp reading she said she wouldn't want the hate mail if she killed him off. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

my thinking is actually opposite of yours. I think Snape is evil because the whole literatural point of Dumblerdore dying is to show that even this powerfull charector has a life altering weakness, and his was being too trusting, plus if Snape was good then they wouldnt have that whole part in the beginning where He taking the unbreakable vow, so it is like he always knew he would kill him.
Also, I think Harry will live, but suffer a great loss, again, so that would lead me to think that either Ron or Hermione or Ginny (or a multitude of them) will die Because they wouldnt end the series with Voldemort living, and the prophecy said one of them woud have to kill the other, and while that is not necesarily true because like Dumbledore said prophecies dont always come true, but If your remember the sixth book Harry and Dumbledore have an arguement and Harry realizes, because of all that had hapened to him because of Voldemort, he always knew he would always kill him, and I think he will, other wise that revelation would be kinda pointless.

I don't think he's a good person... he's unkind and vindictive. But I think he's Slytherin, and Slytherins don't risk their necks for other people, only for themselves. I think Snape wanted Voldemort dead from the beginning, but didn't want to join the Order at first, because James and Sirius were in the Order.

Snape tried to get rid of Voldemort himself, but it resulted in the deaths of Lily and James, and empowering nobody but Harry to kill Voldemort. No wonder Snape hates Harry, if Snape wants to kill Voldemort, but knows he can't without scrawny Harry!

If you're really interested, there's a GREAT essay called "I Trust Severus Snape", about the reasons why Snape will turn out to be good in the end...

Snape is maybe a good character, but be sure: he was one of the Voldemort's people in the past. He still haves the dark mark, it can not be erased.

Either way, in a magic filled fantasy world Dumbledore probably decide to die in order to protect HP.

I am sure, if Voldemort dies Harry dies too. Yin-yang that means.

I am undecided on Snape. II would *like* to think he's good some where deep, deep, deeeeep down. Whatever the reality is, though, the wizarding world will never forgive him... they will see killing Dumbledore (and JKR has said that yes, he is irrevocably dead) is an unforgivable betrayal. Its a case of "fool me once, fool me twice".

I believe Harry will die to protect his friends, and such a great act of love ("Greater love hath no one than this...") will be the end of Voldemort. H e just won't be able to take it.

I think Snape is bad, because he betrayed Dumbledore. I don't think Dumbledore wanted to die. To me Snape is a selfish person. Harry is not going to die.

Snape is good.
All he did was with love for lily.
He didn't kill Dumbledore because he wanted too,Dumbledore told him too.
He acted like he didn't liked harry because he reminded snape of lily and alittle of james.Snape didn't like james.

I agree with Jeff M.

But J.K. Rowling has said that she doesn't want the Harry character to be written about again...like all those Star Wars books out there...

I think she may end it.
