I think a good thing would be to rent the movie first, see how much you like it, then purchase it if you think it is something you would watch over again. A good place to buy movies though is Blockbuster and other rental places because you can purchase the already previewed movies which in a lot of cases are in new condition and under $5.00. If the movie has any flaws, you can take it back for the same title.

I tend to purchase a movie rather than rent it. For some reason, I just hate movie rental stores. If a movie looks good in promo, I tend to buy it. I really haven't bought that many duds.

Rent a movie because if you buy a movie you usually are going to get bored with it after a while.
