Who do you think the ladies would find more sexually attractive, a Brad Pitt or a Danny Devito look-a-like? (Even if they were both the same age, and both poor.)
That women aren't as visual as guys is a myth that goes into the same category as: women are the weaker sex, women's libido is less than the men's, and only men cheat.
Traditionally women expressing their need for sex is still taboo in this country (not so much in big cities).
Madonna encouraged women to sexually "express yourself" shattering like this the stereotypical asexual image of women in America and other parts of the world.
Yes, it is a myth that women aren't visual- otherwise, why would you think George Clooney, Tom Cruise (before scientology), Brad Pitt, and alike are considered sex symbols, while Jim Carey, Tom Hanks, and Robin Williams aren't?
By the way, there are male strip clubs so women can see males strippers.
Attractive men always seem to have a flock of women, and believe it or not, the women aren't always looking at the men's smarts. We have eyes, you know.

How many people do You know? Because that is precisely how many different answers You will get to this question. No two people have the exact same perception of Their surroundings or the relationship that They have with others.
There is an old joke that goes to the effect that a Man is not interested in the company a Woman keeps unless it is His, and a Woman is not interested in the company a Man keeps, unless it is the that He owns. Think about that for a minute.
Females are more likely to be 'raptorial', that is to say that They want the security of affluence and will do whatever it takes to gain a comfortable situation. They want to be the 'Queen Bee'.
Men enjoy the power and the prestige of Their possessions and the accouterments of a good lifestyle, and will do virtually anything to become 'Top Dog'.
Women are in love with the idea of being in love and the concept of being the center piece in a romance.
Men equate beauty with perfection, sex with love and lust with propinquity.
You can never compare the two without first acknowledging the differences between the genders.

Both men and woman are visual, but woman need more than just good looks to get them going. We're emotional creatures. It's important to know that the guy not only likes how we look, but cares about us as well. This helps getting us into bed. However, for a guy, he only needs physical stimulation in order to get it on with someone, because men are just biologically programmed this way. They can't help it. To be fair, I have to say that this is not always the case all the time for both men and women. It basically boils down to the individual.

Women aren't as visual, and when they are visually attracted to a man, it's very different than men. Women are attracted to how a man carries himself as much as how he looks. The same can certainly not be said of most men.

Girls can be visual, too, but in a different way. Something a girl notices about a guy can remind her of something or she might read into it emotionally. She might look at his hairstyle and clothes and make assumptions about his personality or something about his face reminds her of someone she likes and respects. I think with girls the sexual attraction is a mix of things she sees and what she feels about the guy.

Well I can tell you that from a female perspective...it is definately more about personality, because if a boy is attractive, but he's arrogant, or disrespectful, then the looks don't even matter! But even if the guy's face alone isn't "drop dead gorgeous" then he at least has to be a good dresser!

Women are more likely to be stimulated by multiple things: visually, auditory, personality, because women have a larger corpus callosum then men. The corpus callosum is the band of neurons that connects the two hemispheres of the brain.

Ugh. Hate to tall ya, but any woman that says "it's not about the looks" is freakin' lying. The first thing I noticed about my husband had NOTHING to do with his personality. Plain and simple, he's hot!
Granted after I got my eyefull, if he didn't have the intelligence, humor and personality to back it up with, I would have either dropped him in an instant or toyed with him for a day or two.
See? "Package" doesn't always refer to THAT - just at first. *grin*

It is a little bit of both. Naturally we like what we see, and usually get to know guys because we think they are cute, men do the same, but I think both genders stay with the person based on their attitude.

i agree with kay's note....women need more than just visual things to get them going....they're more complex beings than men....so it's not necessary for a girl to be attracted to you just becuz you're brad pitt or tom cruise...and it'd take time for them to be sexually aroused when men can be mostly aroused simply by a sexy outlook...
