Yes, this is my first baby. I rang the midwife she said it sounds like a start and to go for a walk and have a sleep. Also the vagina pain is good because it means his heads way down! Thanks guys!

This could be labor. As you've learned, you feel many different types of contractions during the end of pregnancy and it can be very confusing - even if you've given birth before.

The pain in your back could be representing back labor. I had that with my first child and felt the pain in the bones around the vagina and the crampiness in my pelvis. With my 2nd child, I began with back labor, but then she turned and all the pain was in the front.

Keep timing your contractions to see if they are lasting longer and coming closer together. And if you are in doubt and not sure, go the hospital. They are used to sending disappointed mommies home.

Good luck!

Yes, if you are due or close it could very well be labor. I had back labor with all 10 of mine. I also had true labor for several days on and off before things really picked up. Do you feel you are sitting on the baby's head? That usually indicates the baby has dropped. Have you had a discharge or lost what they call the mucus plug? Or had your water break..it can be alot or a little. Most of these indicate baby is at least getting ready to make an entrance! My contractions usually never came in an even pattern like the doc always tells you to watch for. I just learned that when I could hardly walk through the contraction I best be on my way! Call your doc office or the ER if you are ever in any real doubt. It is SO much better to be safe than sorry in this particular situation!! Hoping for a perfect outcome and Congrats!!

It maybe. Time the contractions and see if they are comming at regular intervals. Have you lost your mucous plug yet (aka bloody show). Those are more signs of labor. Is this your first pregnancy if so you have plenty of time. Most women don't go to the hospital until their water breaks, but if you have had mulitple births you may want to go sooner, as labor usually gets shorter with each pregnancy. How far long are you? Is it too soon? Good luck.

It could be. the onyl way to find out for sure is to wait to see if it becomes longer adn stronger. Try this website:

It may help time your contractions. If it is back labor, be prepared to be miserable. I had that with both my children, and my second child was COMPLETELY natural, there wasnt any time for meds, so I definately wish you the best of luck, Hope this helps.
