It's Summertime = Beat the heat by throwing your party at an ICE SKATING RINK!!! OR, take your friends to Cosmic Bowling, if you have that in your area.
Out here in Las Vegas where I live, every Friday and Saturday nights, they have public ice skating and bowling with the regular lights turned off, and "black lights" turned on = Cosmic Lights played with very, very loud music... very fun & kewl! Lots of young teens go there to hang out, meet girls/boys, and to just have fun! Call your local rink or alley, and ask if they do that where you live. Lots of fun!!!

Happy Birthday Myra. Welcome to the "teens".
Have a party at Tim Hortons like you see on TV. You don't
don't have to mess up your home or rent a hall and it has air
conditioning and plenty of parking and still have all the fun you would any place else.
Remember one thing Myra. You are a teen only once in life.
So live it as a teen with your family and friends, and do not
rush into adulthood. You will be proud you did. :-})

how many people are you inviting ? it all depends, if you have a large backyard, decorate with your favorite colors, balloons, streamers, tablecloths,
just a few friends, how about an amusement park, pay their way in, they pay for their drink and food.
is there a rolling or ice skating rink , you can rent out for a few hours and do the same decorate.
if you know someone that owns a boat/yacht, a few hours would be fun. and memorable.

if its just girls then have a sleep over at a hotel. its really fun. especially scavenger hunts =]]
but if your having a boy girl party a fun idea would to just have like a party at your place with a night club theme.

When I was thirteen, there was nothing wrong with punch and cookies at mom and dads house.
This whole "impress everyone with an outrageous gala" thing is recent, and in my opinion unnecessary.

Drive In? take a bunch of your friends and have your mom or someone take two cars. So you mom can go in one car somewhere away and you and your friends can have a car to yourself.
